Assemblin Caverion Group continues supporting John Nurminen Foundation in their work to save the Baltic Sea

Assemblin Caverion Group continues its support as one of the key partners of John Nurminen Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to save the Baltic Sea and its heritage for future generations.
”The Baltic Sea is our geographical heart, but unfortunately, it is facing severe challenges. We want to do our part and show support for the work to save the Baltic Sea not only with our donation but also with the work we do together with our customers for more resource-efficient built environment,” says Mats Johansson, the President and CEO of Assemblin Caverion Group.
“The small and shallow Baltic Sea suffers from the effects of climate change faster than many other ocean areas. Increasing rainfall intensifies the nutrient runoff from land to sea, while higher sea water temperatures exacerbate oxygen loss on the sea floor. Since climate change reinforces the biggest problem of the Baltic Sea, eutrophication, saving the Baltic Sea also requires climate action. Thanks to Assembly Caverion Group’s donation, we at John Nurminen Foundation can continue our long-term, concrete efforts to protect the sea”, says Annamari Arrakoski-Engardt, the CEO of John Nurminen Foundation.
