The risk of serious oil accident in the Gulf of Finland is high. Together with the authorities, we are building an oil boom deployment system to speed up oil spill response in the eastern Gulf of Finland. The project is funded by donations.
Reducing chemical emissions throughout the Baltic Sea
Our project has successfully reduced hazardous chemical emissions into the Baltic Sea by collecting tank cleaning water from chemical tankers in ports. We are now sharing these best practices with other countries across the Baltic Sea region.
