The privacy policies below describe how the John Nurminen Foundation and its subsidiary, Baltic Sea Services Oy, process personal data.
We comply with legislation on the processing of personal data, that is, we process personal data in accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As we use data for a variety of purposes, we have created several registers with separate privacy policies. These privacy policies explain things such as who the controller is, for what purpose data is being processed, how long personal data will be retained, how personal data is processed and protected, data subjects’ rights, and how data subjects can exercise their rights.

John Nurminen Foundation and Baltic Sea Services Oy customer and supporter register
We use personal data for the management and development of customer, donor and supporter relations, and for targeting our communications and marketing. The main purpose for processing personal data is to implement agreements, provide customer service, develop our activities and customer experience, and keep people informed about our activities.
John Nurminen Foundation stakeholder register
We collect contact details for parties such as our project partners, service providers and Baltic Sea Action Day partners, so that we can keep them informed about our activities and invite stakeholder representatives to our events and functions.
John Nurminen Foundation register of competitions and prize draws
We collect personal data from participants in our competitions and prize draws, so that we can select and send prizes to the winners, or send other communications relating to the competition.
John Nurminen Foundation recruitment and manuscript database
We store and process your personal data when you apply for a job or internship at the Foundation, or when you offer us a book for publication. We use this personal data to manage our job application process or book publishing process.
